Welcome to DropRSVP. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DropRSVP website, mobile app, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by DropRSVP ("DropRSVP," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, browsing events, buying tickets, or listing an event on DropRSVP, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who Can Use DropRSVP

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or make a purchase on DropRSVP. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@droprsvp.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

3. Using DropRSVP as an Attendee

3.1 Browsing and RSVPs

Browsing events and RSVPing to free events is free for all users.

3.2 Buying Tickets

When you buy a ticket, you enter into a transaction with the event organizer, not with DropRSVP directly. DropRSVP acts as a platform that facilitates ticket sales, payment processing, and check-in on the organizer's behalf.

Each ticket includes a unique QR code tied to your account. You are responsible for keeping your ticket and QR code secure and not sharing it with others, since anyone who presents a valid QR code may be admitted to the event.

3.3 Ticket Prices and Fees

Ticket prices are set by event organizers. Any applicable service fees will be shown clearly at checkout before you complete your purchase.

3.4 Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds are governed by each organizer's individual refund policy, which is displayed on the event page. DropRSVP does not set refund policies on behalf of organizers and is not responsible for an organizer's decision to approve or deny a refund request. If an event is cancelled by the organizer, refund handling will follow the policy stated on that event's page, or as otherwise communicated by the organizer.

3.5 Event Changes

Organizers may change event details such as date, time, or venue. DropRSVP will make reasonable efforts to notify affected ticket holders, but is not responsible for losses arising from such changes.

4. Using DropRSVP as an Organizer

4.1 Listing Events

Organizers can create event listings for free. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your event listing, including pricing, dates, venue details, and any legal requirements applicable to your event (such as permits, licenses, or age restrictions).

4.2 Free vs. Paid Events

  • Free events: listing and managing a free event costs nothing.
  • Paid events: when you sell tickets through DropRSVP, a service fee applies, either as a percentage of the ticket price or a fixed amount per ticket. Applicable fees are disclosed in your organizer dashboard before you publish paid ticketing.

4.3 Payouts

Ticket sale proceeds, minus applicable fees, are paid out to the bank account you provide. You are responsible for ensuring your bank details are accurate and up to date. Payout timing may vary and will be reflected in your dashboard.

4.4 Organizer Responsibilities

As an organizer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, non-misleading information about your event
  • Honor the tickets sold through DropRSVP and admit valid ticket holders
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, safety, and licensing requirements
  • Handle refund requests in line with the refund policy you have published
  • Not use DropRSVP to host or promote illegal, fraudulent, or harmful events

DropRSVP reserves the right to remove any event listing that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, misleading, or unsafe.

4.5 Guest Data

Organizers may access attendee information (such as name and contact details) necessary to manage their event. Organizers agree to use this information only for purposes related to that event and in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

5. Fees

Fees for paid ticket sales are calculated automatically at checkout and itemized in the organizer dashboard. DropRSVP may update its fee structure from time to time; any changes will apply to events created after the change takes effect, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify organizers in advance.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful purposes or to promote illegal events
  • Upload false, misleading, or infringing content
  • Attempt to duplicate, forge, or manipulate QR tickets or codes
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation or security
  • Scrape, resell, or misuse data obtained from the Platform without authorization
  • Impersonate another person or organization

7. Intellectual Property

The DropRSVP name, logo, and platform design are owned by DropRSVP and may not be used without our written permission. Organizers retain ownership of the content they upload (such as event descriptions and images) but grant DropRSVP a license to display that content on the Platform for the purpose of promoting and operating the event listing.

8. Disclaimers

DropRSVP provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that events listed on the Platform will occur as described, that organizers will fulfill their obligations, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. DropRSVP is not responsible for the conduct of organizers or attendees, or for the quality, safety, or legality of any event.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DropRSVP is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including losses related to cancelled events, disputes between organizers and attendees, or unauthorized use of your account due to your own failure to safeguard your credentials.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DropRSVP harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third party right, including, for organizers, any claims arising from the events you host.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time by contacting support@droprsvp.com.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
